This should be a pretty simple project for an Access expert. I need a MS Access database created in order to do bids for construction clients. I will populate the tables, I need you to create the tables and one form and ensure that the system "hangs together". This program is going to be used by our estimators in the field and our bidding department in the office. The tables will be pretty straight forward. Here is what I will need the form to do:
1. Bidding Form - this is blank form with drop down lists as follows:
a. Drop down list for Client
b. Text boxes for Job Location and related information
c. Drop down list for Trade
d. Drop down list for Room
e. Drop down list for items of work to be done. Since we will have multiple line items there will need to be a button for "New Line Item" so our estimator can add as many lines as needed
f. For items that are priced per a certain unit, such as square feet, there needs to be a field for the # of units. This will be used to calculate the total price for that line item
g. Warning prompts based on dependencies, e.g. if our estimator selects a certain item of work he should be prompted that we can't do that item without doing another, so both need to be included in the bid. We will provide all dependencies
h. Three simple "Yes/No" check boxes
i. Text box/field for Notes
j. One check box that can be selected if the job is Awarded. This will then create a new record in the Awarded Jobs table.
k. Must be able to export to Excel, Word, and we must be able to have it print in a specific way (our clients have their own ways of wanting to see information).
