I am looking for someone to program a customer management database in Microsoft Access 2010.
The concept of what I need is as follows:
I have a database of customers (Personal data, Email address, Telephone number etc.)
I also have a database of products (These are genetic tests where I have fields that contain the results of a genetic test. Different fields for different tests.) These fields should only have 3 different options of what information to contain. So maybe something like 3 Checkboxes with only one to be active at any given time would be needed?)
I also have a database of distribution channels
I also have a database of distribution channel acquirers that get a certain percentage of what they acquire
I also have a database of countries and the respective VAT ercentages to be used in invoicing.
This is what I have, but I now need this system to be linked and automated.
The option to link a customer to a distribution channel (Choose from a drop down menu maybe? I do not want to use numbers because of risk of mixups)
The option to open a customer window and choose which products he ordered. Maybe on a check-box basis?
Depending on the products ordered, the specific product fields should appear in this customer view to be filled out
When all fields are filled out, the software should mark it as "completed"
Distribution Channel Database:
The option to assign a certain price for each product to each distribution channel
The option to assign which acquirer acquired the distribution channel and what percentage he gets from the revenue
Create invoice, save as PDF and send it via Email
Send a certein Email when a certain checkmark is checked
List all customers that have the same information in one field of one specific product
List all customers that still have no information in one field of one product
Alert me when certein deadlines are crossed
This might sound a bit confusing as I do not understand access very well and hence do not know all of its capabilities, but I would want to progressively build and extend this database as we go along and go step by step.
I would want to also see this as a training-session of how to use access for me, not just a Job for programming the database.
This means the job would be on an hourly basis and be time consuming at first but progressively less work as I will only need help for more advanced questions and support.
