We are seeking an Android team of developers to convert our existing iOS app onto the Android OS platform. This should be a straight port from iPhone (iOS) to Android OS. I will provide current GUI images .
The Android App will need to function exactly like our iPhone app and will need to contain all of the same images. We will provide you with all the different sizes of the images that you need in order for the Android App to be able to correctly adapt to the different Android device screen sizes.
The Android App will use server side JSON and XML information to populate views and most of the logic is handled by the server.
The app will have an in-app purchase feature that does not exisgt in the current iOS app.
The Android App will need to be able to store maps for offline use. That is, the maps will need to be cached within the App itself and part of the overall App download for a user. The maps that will be used within the Android App will be in the format called MBTiles using an SQLite database for tile storage. This is a VERY important part of our App, so in your response to this job post please take the time to address this topic and provide details related to any prior experience you might have had with this type of offline maps implementation. Please include thoughts or concerns you might have related to this aspect of the App. Finally, please briefly review the below links and let us know if you would be utilizing any of these in your build.
- Familiar with iOS and Android OS.
- Have an iPhone/iPad in order to DL our iPhone App from the App Store.
- Extract JSON URL and display on screen.
- Parse JSON and XML data
- Fetch and display images on screen.
- Communicate via Skype, Email, etc.
We require a quick and professional team that can produce a well designed Android App.
