We have a range of iPad apps that we need ported to Android. The way it works is that we have core libraries that contain all the functionality, these already run on Android. So it is just the user interface that needs ported.
Our basic application is already ported to Android and working, but we have customised versions that contain user interface changes and sometimes extra features. These customisations are what needs to be ported.
We'd do the apps one at a time, but once you have done the first one it should be easy to do the rest. There is a lot of functionality in these apps, so we would like to build up a long term relationship with a developer that can do these tasks as required.
What we would give you is:
* The source code to the iPad app (so you can use this as a template)
* The iPad artwork, this can be reused in Android, some changes may be required though.
* The source code to the current Android app. This is the base for the new app.
* The JNI libraries to use.
The current android app has an iPhone type layout, we need to update the UI so that on larger devices it changes to the iPad layout.
Running the app normally requires some special hardware, but we can get around that for most functions by using similar software. This does mean though that I will need to test some functionality myself as you won't be able to. The functionality is in the library code anyway so it's just the user interface that will need to be tested.
We would prefer to work on a fixed cost, at least for the first project. We can give you access to all the source code first before you prepare a quote though. Source is available through git.
Budget price is just an estimate/guess based on how long I think it would take me to do the work myself. I allowed some time for setup, then some time for creating the new user interface layout.
During the project I would be available on skype to answer questions.
If the first project goes ok then I have 2 more ready to go right away and there will be more after that.
