I am looking for an Android application to be built which will keep a record of callers on a registerd user's account so they can see the amount of calls they made to work collegues over the years and rate each call from one to 10 on productiveness, this is so users will be able to see the amount of non-productive calls they have had from who. This has been requested for a friend for his business and will be used for his business only.
On an incomming call the app will kick in and detect the number being dialled.
It will automatically connect to a given web service and display a text to a user with the number of times called
The display must not intrude the user from answering the call or require an action like OK to be pressed, ( display along the bottom of the phone or something).
If the user answers and the call is ended another box will prompt the user to select a rating between 1 and 10 of how they felt the call went (productivity rating).
This rating along with the number will be sent to the same web service.
I have looked into IPhone and this is not possible but on Android it is. I even have sample code for the event listener but need it compiled to connect to the web service and ready to install on the app. The app interface can be simple which simply activates and deactivates the "listener" so the user can switch it off if need be.
We are looking for a very quick turnaround and suspect this will be a simple project as we have the main bulk of the code already, we have the web service in place so would just need a developer to link everything up and get the displays working.
More details will be provided but this is basically it.
