IPHONE GAME COMPETITION ********************************************************************************************************************************* Design a simple arcade style basketball game (there are already existing basketball games as examples, Arcade Hoops Lite) Game features * Timer 45 seconds * Basic (Ring stays in one position) and Advanced level (ring moves from side to side, up and down in random fashion) * 4 balls are given to start, and the object is to get as many balls into the hoop as possible, once it goes into the hoop (or misses) the balls roll back towards the player similar to the arcade game * Each successful shot is worth 2 points * After the time hits 20 seconds, each successful shot is worth 3 points * After the time hits 10 seconds, each successful shot is worth 4 months * Live score to be kept within the game * Once game i finished, the score is automatically posted to the worldwide leader board and a rank given to the player * The game must flow nicely and not crash at all, must be well designed with attractive yet minimal graphics to ensure speed of application is not affected by too much graphics. App design issues: * When you click on app and enter it, it asks for sign in details (email address, and password). Allow new users to sign up. * Once signed up there are 4 main options: * About page * Start game * See live leaderboard * Account details * Past winners * Current prize * Top right hand corner displays the number of games available until the prize is awarded. Start game * Select level --> start game About page * Details about the application and competition rules and processes (will be provided) See live leaderboard * Daily leaderboard usernames of players with individual ranks and their country of origin represented by their country flag * Clicking on the username adds that player to your watch list (therefore keeping track of their wins, prizes won, and average scores) Account details * Personal details (name, address, email address, paypal email address, telephone number, password, funds remaining, top up funds) * Account is automatically linked to paypal (and app) with verification to ensure correct person uses correct paypal account, if no paypal acount details available then provide link to paypal to join Past winners: * Shows the usernames of people that have won, their country of origin represented by the country flag * Allows you to click their usernames to add to your watch list displaying games won, prizes won, and average scores Current prize: * Shows a detailed description of the prize available to be win if the player ends up in the top of the leaderboard. After all the games have been used up by multiple players, the app should automatically select the top ranked player, and send them a push notification notifying them that they have WON the competition, and should accept the prize. Clicking the accept button automatically notifies the application in real time, and therefore the details of the player can be accessed from the backend and the prize can be promptly sent to them. Once all the games have been used up by the players, the number of games available automatically resets to a customisable number (i.e.: 25, or 50 etc). Cost per game: customisable dollar amount (i.e.: $1 or $2 similar to arcade style) When available games are played, the top ranked player is rewarded with a prize (cash, or prize items worth x dollars) This app is a free app. The developer upon completion of the project should assist in submitting the application to the Apple Itunes to be available for download. This is primarily an iphone application, however will be available to be run on ipads as well (this can be optimised at a later date if project is sucessfully implemented). The main functionality of the game is its smooth running, and stability.
