We have an existing app which has a basic quiz as part of it. At present users are faced with an image of an object and have to decide which is the right answer from around 4 choices. A correct answer takes them to a “well done” page and a next question button. The wrong answer takes them to a “try again” option. The quiz runs in the same order every time.
The app is distributed via iTunes & Play, and uses Phonegap/HTML/JQuery and the same code is used across both Android & iOS platforms - we do not use native coding.
The aim of this project is to add functionality to the quiz, whilst keeping the same HTML code for the rest of the app.
The quiz will start with a screen asking say “Easy” “Moderate” “Difficult”
The choice will take the player to the first question in that section.
Essentials we need:
Cross platform functionality
To be able to add questions & update the app ourselves
To be supplied with all the code needed
The order of questions must be random each time the player uses the app
The player is shown their score at the end, e.g. 7 out of possible 10
We need to be able to style the page that each question appears on, e.g. add a background image or change the colour.
We would also like:
Skip forward a question
Make & store notes
Countdown timer for each question. If count exceeded then player fails the quiz and goes back to start.
We would welcome your ideas on how to improve on this.
