We're seeking a mobile app developer to build a new social networking app for iOS.
The app will run on iOS 6 optimized for the following devices: iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4th & 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad 3rd & 4th generation, and iPad Mini.
We have a fully developed wireframe in the form of a PDF. The GUI is expected to replicate the design precision of the wireframe. All unique graphic icons and images will be provided by Think You including launch images, backgrounds, icons, etc..
The app will be expected to query a PHP server application that will interact with our back end database. This project will require the co-development of these queries in correspondence with our third party server application developer. Parts of the app will require asynchronous queueing with a local database to improve overall performance. The mobile app developer will be expected to implement industry standard encryption for communications with the server application.
The mobile application will include (but is not limited to) the following custom designed elements:
interactive text boxes that smoothly expand to reveal additional options
QR code reader
scrolling ticker (pre-developed and provided by Think You; may require some modification)
The application will include (but is not limited to) elements from the following iOS 6 frameworks:
Social (Facebook & Twitter)
Game Kit (Bonjour & Peer to Peer Bluetooth)
Although the wireframes to be provided to the developer include the majority of details about the user interface, the PDF version obviously cannot provide animation specifications and details about some of the back end processes to be handled within the mobile app. For that reason, it will be expected that before each part of the app is developed, detailed discussions take place with our design team to ensure that it is developed to our expectations.
After the project is awarded, a member of our design team will promptly work with the freelancer to discuss and agree on a comprehensive set of milestones. Throughout the term of the project, we expect to see regular builds through TestFlight or a similar service as evidence of progress. Builds will be required before any milestone is released.
Think You, Inc. will retain full ownership over the application created and any custom classes developed by the freelancer in relation to this project. Ownership of custom developed classes that are of a generic, non-critical and non-confidential nature may be retained by the freelancer only at the discretion of Think You, Inc..
