We require mobile apps for iphone/iPad and android phone/tablet for (www.dockedIn.com/default.aspx) iOS Universal app design. The GUI (graphical user interface) design for both iPhone and iPad will be as Universal App.
Part A (A complete patient app):
Purpose - Here a new user/patient can register, search for doctors depending on the treatment or what they want to get diagnosed for, view doctors' profiles and their consultation schedule. Manage his/her own past medical history data and enter personal health record information. Keep track of prescriptions, and appointments. Us, 1-1 live video and text chat provision with doctors.
Part B (Doctor's app):
Purpose - Login for doctors/medical professionals. He/she can manage his/her profile and specialization details. He/she can view a list of his/her patients, their medical history, and appointment. Check the Revenue from their consultations - manage their pricing for consultation, etc. Access the message center to communicate with patients and/or colleagues, and also do live chat with patients at scheduled time.
We want to be able to place a downloadable icon of the DockedIn site on the doctors and patient's screen such that they click on the icon and go directly to the DockedIn telemedicine site such that they can utilize the service.
Complete patient and doctor apps (that allow the functions of the existing DockedIn website to be maintained) will be required. On the DockedIn site, there is a live video chat wherein one window shows the patient and the other shows the image from the medical device being used. There is also the text box for the chat. All these work simultaneously.
The real time chat capability for the live consult on the telemedicine site may require a real time relay server such that the webcam component/microphone etc work with mobile devices…so doctor's and patients can walk around with iPads and provide consults using their mobile cameras.
As regards the APIs of the 10 medical devices (jabes, microlite, dynalite, littman, etc.) that are shown when you log in as a patient and use the drop down box where it says devices, those are already incorporated in the site (and that is why we are able to use the medical. The APIs of the medical devices are already incorporated into what has been hosted (www.dockedIn.com/default.aspx).
Simply put, the patient connects the devices to his PC or mobile device (via blue tooth or USB) just prior to the live consult. When the doctor is ready to see the patient, he tells the patient "Now connect the otoscope, put the tip in your left ear, etc....." or "Now connect the stethoscope, put the diaphragm on your chest to the left of the midline, etc....." The doctor will automatically get the image on his screen or hear the breath/heart sound on his computer and head-set.
