We have a basic CMS based on dot net code, primarily for internet marketing. The websites are pretty simple, but this is a tricky issue, so no rookies, and we're on a tight deadline.
Upside: Quick bucks and it's an interesting project.
The goal is to allow editing of basic websites 100% in-place i.e. logo, header-image, body text, sidebar images & text should all be editable on the front-end of the site, and then ajax (or post) the vars back to the various locations (i.e. because sidebar is saved in a different field than the main-body-page). On the backend control panel we'll toggle an "edit mode" and overlay jeditable Jquery (or similar - we're open on the *how*), and image-uploader (ideally with ajax-refresh, but hard post is fine too) for things like the logo & header-image.
