Project Description:
This project involves building an HL7 interface for and HL7 compliant server. Interface must be written in C# and ASP.Net 3.5 platform. The desired class will interface to the HL7 compliant server and convert the content to data values. Interface must work in bidirectional fashion meaning that it should be able to convert received HL7 messages to data values and also convert data values to HL7 message to be sent to the server to perform updates. This is a multi part project. in the first part we like to be able to process following message types:ACK – General acknowledgement
ORM – Order (Pharmacy/treatment)
ORU – Observation result (Unsolicited)
QRY – Query, original mode
RAS – Pharmacy/treatment administration
RDE – Pharmacy/treatment encoded order
RGV – Pharmacy/treatment give
Solution must be scalable to accept other message types for the second part of the project.

Earlier for some of projects we have developed the prototype for HL Adapter to intergrate Hospital System with DoxSys system. In regard that we evaluated some of the HL7 readymade softwares like chameleon, Neotools. Even we have written HL7 parser module for Version 2.3 since that was a prototype so it needs more work.
