Project Description:
For an iOS app (targeted for iPad only) in development, we need an additional functionality. It should be possible to generate multipage PDF files. The PDF file should be generated according to a given layout. The data to use, is derived from user input and handled with core data. The number of pages depends on the amount of data. Before generating the files, there should be a pre-seetings view (a simple popover would do the job) to be able to select what kind of data to use for generation.
For PDF generation the UIKit framework methods (e.g. UIGraphicsBeginPDFContext) are prefered over Core Graphics methods.
Since the app dosn't use ARC yet, it would be best you doesn't use ARC either.
Input Data (see CoreData_Model.jpg):
Only one PDF file is generated for one MOAyalysis object at a time.
A MOAnalysis object can have multiple MOSection objects. A MOSection object can have multiple MOModules objects.
The order of MOsection and MOModules objects is defined by the displayOrder attribute.
Layout (see layout images):
Two different layouts should be used.
IF MOAnalysis.isLHAndRH == true THEN use layout 2 ELSE layout 1.
The dimensions of all elements should be approximately according to the layout image.
The paper size should be DIN A4.
Header (same for both layouts):
- left corner, logo image
- right side, header input derived from MOAnalysis
- schould be the same on every page
- font: Arial, 7
Body (layout 1):
- one row type, all with same height.
- every column should have a fixed width.
- MOSection rows should have a darker grey background.
- MOModules odd rows should have a white background, even rows a light grey background.
- font: Verdana, 8
Body (layout 2):
- two row types.
- type 1: only for a description text. Half the height of type 2.
- type 2: multiple values, spread across two lines. Double the height of type 1.
- every column should have a fixed width.
- MOSection rows should have a darker grey background.
- MOModules odd rows should have a white background, even rows a light grey background.
- font: Verdana, 7
Footer (same for both layouts):
- centered, page number (e.g. Page 1 of 3)
- right aligned, copyright note
- should be on every page
- font: Verdana, 8
Pre-settings view:
- "Display with TMU?" "Yes" or "No". If user selects "No", then the columns "tg(TMU)" and "tg(TMU)Gesamt" should be left empty.
