Add New Feature to Existing CodeIgniter Project

We have backend developed in PHP using Codeigniter 1.7 served to clients through which they can configure their own video player instances, which they embed on their site. The backend also serves in the creation of program schedules for these players, analytics display and client management (for users with administrative rights). The code is medium complex, pretty well written and above average solid, tough there are some bugs and non-functional issues. Looking for someone to implement the following feature: • Add a “subscribe to” button near the player in the embed code • Clicking on the subscribe link should bring up a form (using jQuery) with fields to be completed by the viewer: - Email - Name • The details filled by the viewer are stored in the backend’s database • Provide a table for the client, owner of the video player, through which they manage the subscribed users: - Send mail - Delete • Based on the defined program schedule subscribers should be automatically notified by the system before a video transmission begins Design including HTML+CSS are not your responsibility. Before you bid please review our mandatory requirements: • We are interested only in individual professionals (no companies please) • You should be familiar with CodeIgniter or similar PHP frameworks (Zend, Symfony, etc.) • You should be also familiar with Flash embedding • XML, JSON, Javascript, Ajax, jQuery knowledge are necessary • Good English written and spoken required. We also speak Romanian and Hungarian. If these are your native languages even better. • It’s good if you know SVN or willing to learn
