Project Description:
Hello Freelancers,
I am seeking to develop an MMORPG application within Facebook; this is NOT a rip-off of the Mafia Wars style. This is not a socket or flash based game, it is a text based game.
Graphics are not needed, but I would like placeholders used. We can talk further on this matter, but I am most interested in the game mechanics and layout.
Successful completion of this project will lead to continued business as we 'evolve' this IP and create entirely new IPs. Doing a this, and doing it the right way is critical. This would be a great addition to any company or individual's portfolio! Profit sharing is also available.
Potential canidates must know all necessary languages including but not limited to: FQL, SQL, API methods, Facebook Connect, XML, PHP, AJAX.

*Previous Game Design or Programming
*Problem Solving Skills
*Ability to add value
Ideal Canidate: Not only knows the language, but is familair with game design. This familiarity would allow them to see the design direction already in place, and then add valuable suggestions on, not only how to achieve this most efficently, but what might improve the players experience. The canidate would be able to look at the requirements and design a document showing how the process could be turned from concept into code.
Example of a problem that would need to be solved: Modular fighting system. Game admin would be able to add skills at any point without changing the game code. This would mean skills would be dynamic (variable), relying on hardcoded attributes. A skill might have multiple effects, and these effects would vary from skill to skill.
