We are integrating two websites:
This will be implemented in two phases:
Phase 1: Light integration whereby www.steeleye.com will be moved to a subdomain of www.sios.com (e.g. www.sios.com/us) and branding will consist of simple logo change on www.steeleye.com
Phase 2: Complete integration and site re-design. There will be one web content management system and integrated brand look and feel and multiple languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, etc.)
We need help on phase 1, which will lead to phase 2 work at a later date.
www.sios.com is running on a LAMP stack with no CMS and only static web pages.
www.steeleye.com is running on .net / IIS and is quite dynamic and has an integrated CMS.
Our hope is that we can somehow integrate the current www.steeleye.com IIS with the www.sios.com Apache server. However, we're not aware of any successful Apache-IIS solution that allows for such....whether Apache can properly proxy the IIS webpages on a subdomain.
We'd like to avoid the path where we have to implement something like:
The ASP.NET site, www.steeleye.com, has a customized CMS (content management system) behind it which we don't want to "migrate".
So just to clarify, when we say "integrate" we want to continue to host our www.steeleye.com site on ASP.NET, but serve the pages through a subdomain at www.sios.com via Apache.....so the two platforms co-exist.
