Logica provides free open source API for java at <[login to view URL]>
The specific download area is <[login to view URL]> to enable my .NET application to make use of the SMPP protocol.
By calling simple api calls, my .NET application should do the following.
1)Bind to SMSC ??" my .NET application would specify all the bind parameters
2)Submit simple text message ??" my .net application would call a simple function to send SMS, the API should detect if the message is Unicode, then encode the PDU accordingly. The API should also concatenate the message if needed.
3)Send binary SMS ??" my application would supply the binary information and the DTH headers.
4)Send wap push ??" my application would call a function to send a wap push specifying the URL and the text and other required parameters.
5)Unbind.
6)Receive messages/delivery reports ??" the API should be able to receive inbound messages/delivery reports and forward the same to my application.
In short what is required is a midware between a java API and .NET applications
