SMS Project

PROJECT STALLED UNTIL I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT MY COSTUMER WANTS. PROJECT DESCRIPTION WILL BE CHANGED. We need a SMS module that can send a message to a SMS phone, and the user of the phone can answer back to that module. The module recieves the answer, and then processes it. The message send will be something like "Can you take the shift tonight at 9.00 pm?" or something of the sort. The user of the phone is presented with a yes/no option, and is requested to answer back. The module will be waiting for the phone to answer back, for a given timout period. The module must be thread safe, as we are going to launch a number of SMS request at the same time. In the first step we need to know how you are planning to do it. We can code the application's logic ourselves, but we lack knowledge on the SMS module. We suspect that we need some kind of SMS device/modem (like the Siemens M20) or else we have to use some SMS network (which is not an option). You should not reveal all about how you would make the SMS module, but let us know some design plans. The module should be written in Java or ASP or whatever suits the job best. If you feel it is good to make it an OCX or Delphi component, let us know. Also, you must give us suggestions to what lanugage we should code the application in (that will use the SMS module). At the end, the whole thing will be run as a Windows NT Service, but that is not of your concern. Another thing that we are not shure of how will work, is that we are situated in Denmark, and the module has to work in Denmark. Also, how is the phone user charged, by his own phone company? Only coders that can document experience with coding to SMS will be taken into consideration, as we have coders ourselves that can learn how to do it, we just don't have the time to learn it ourselves. Feel free to attach some sample SMS code, and some code that shows that you are a good coder and knows how to comment your code (english comments). ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
