Project Description:
We are developing a Price Comparison Website exclusively for Health Products.
We will provide the datafeed in MySQL table and based on the name of the product (or description), the Product is already categorized appropriately by (like Skincare, Health, Haircare,etc) and then into Subcategory. The price comparison has been set up for these products but these products need to be set up with a colour selection or size selection option. The Categorization needs to be done only based on the Nnme of the product from the datafeed from an affiliate. Also please let me know have you ever done the following: colour selection based on just the product name such as:

Have you ever built a price comparison where the same product might have slightly different names but it is the SAME product by different shops and have to be listed on the same price comparison?: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Clinique_Clarifying_Lotion__68333. This allows the product to only appear once on the list page instead of multiple times such as: http://www.ciao.co.uk/sr/q-clinique
Please let me know if you have worked on this before.
Excellent knowledge of MySQL, PHP, Search algorithms, Text Searches, Fuzzy Searches, Regular Expressions are needed.
