Project Description:
This project is for writing a php script to convert text to html (a php file with server side includes)
Each week, new content is published on a web server, in a plain-text file called “weekly.txt”. This file contains information for horoscopes. There are 12-signs of the zodiac with a paragraph of text for each sign of the zodiac (there are always 12 paragraphs of text with headings, no more, no less).
Right now, each of these are manually pasted into an HTML template (a php file with server side includes), and then published on a website. I want this process to be completely automated.
The url to the file is fixed (does not change each week, it is always called weekly.txt), the file is not password protected or encrypted, etc. The file is not html; it is a text file.
Take the contents of the text file and convert to html (will be an php file with server side includes). This script needs to be done in PHP. The script must be able to know what day/time it is so that it can update itself since the content is published fresh each week. The file is published each Friday for the following week. This means that the script must continue showing the old information (previous week) until the new information should be shown on Monday at 12:01 AM.
You will turn over the php script and all rights to it.
Attached are samples of txt file (original plain-text file) and formatted output (the html file – a php file with server side includes). The formatted output must be like the one located at http://www.soulmatehq.com/horoscopes.php including listing the proper dates and title at the top of the file.
