Compile C++ Source Code for Completed Video Conversion Software Program
Client in need of a software developer with experienced in C++ and Video Development to compile a recently completed video conversion software program.
All source code will be provided to developer as well as a previous compiled .exe file for the program. Developer must have experience with compiling Visual C++ projects, which use DirectX, Window Media Formats, audio and video editing, C++ code and other shareware.
Step By Step Compiling Instructions
Software Requirements: Visual Studio 6 with Service Pack 5, and Processor Pack for Visual Studio 6. Directx SDK 9.0b and Window Media SDK 9.
Note:
You should install Visual Studio 6 and packs this order: Visual Studio 6 first, then Visual Studio Service Pack 5, then VC Process Pack (If not already installed).
Step 1:
After Installing DirectX SDK 9.0b, you need to compile the base classes of DShow. For example, if you install DirectX SDK at C:\DX90SDK, then open C:\DX90SDK\Samples\C++\DirectShow\BaseClasses\baseclasses.dsw. Chose Build->Batch Build from VC++, check all item and click build.
Step 2:
Install Window Media SDK 9. You may also need to install Window Media Encoder SDK and Window Media Player SDK.
Step 3:
Open Transition.dsw.
Add these path from: Tools->Options->Directories->Include files. Remember to move these paths UP after add, let them be the first ones.
C:\DX90SDK\INCLUDE
C:\DX90SDK\SAMPLES\C++\DIRECTSHOW\BASECLASSES
C:\DX90SDK\SAMPLES\C++\DIRECTSHOW\COMMON
And add these from: Tools->Options->Directories->Library files
C:\DX90SDK\LIB
C:\WMSDK\WMFSDK9\LIB
If you installed DirectX SDK or Window Media SDK in another folder, you need change them to the actual path.
Step 4:
Now you should be able to build [login to view URL] and the filters.
