Backgammon Site

This is posting for a site to have the ability for online players to play backgammon. Specifications are below. Base level graphics are acceptable. Future postings will be to upgrade the site and features, so coding needs to be done with this in mind. Bid must include languages you plan to program in and if any special hosting needs are needed for the server. Thank you for bidding. ## Deliverables Overview Looking for a simple backgammon gaming site. Work not to include web pages other than those involved with the specs outlined. Site to be two parts: 1. A 20 table room to play backgammon that allows up to 40 people to play simultaneously. The user upon entering the room would join a table waiting for a player or if no table waiting would go to an empty table and be seated waiting for the next opponent to enter room. If room is full message to such will be given on a screen. 2. A tournament room composed of 16 tables allowing 32 entrants. Tournaments would be set by administrator through admin function that presets time of day for tournaments. This can be changed at anytime by admin and would be set for Eastern Time zones. Tournaments would have sign ups and at time tournament starts system would randomly place whatever number of players (at least 3 needed for tournament to run) signed up into elimination bracket tournament. Note that two tournaments cannot run at same time. Brackets should be viewable from a page and be available to be seen until next tournament starts. Player entering site will have a choice of what to choose either regular room or tournament. After a game is completed player will go to main area (call it waiting room). If playing in tournament will be placed at table with next opponent when available from either waiting room or tournament room. At this time no ability to view games in progress or communicate with opponents. Game Playing All games are to 3 points (both regular and tournament) and follow all backgammon rules including doubling. Matches are timed and limited to 25 minutes for each player. Game screen should have a clock showing time remaining. For tournaments there should be a table showing name of winner and who finished in second place date and time of tournament. Future development All programming should be done with the idea that in the future the site will be expanded to include ratings, different types of tournaments, additional rooms or expansion of number of tables in room. Ability to run more than one tournament at same time. Ability to view games in progress, ability to communicate with opponent. Provided In existence will be a login/registration pages already done. These programs need to use the user ids from this data table. Admin functions Besides setting up tournament times (to include number held per day), need the ability to close tables to limit number playing (for both tournament and regular), the ability to boot a player from the rooms and the ability to prevent a user from playing in the rooms. What is needed on server to be discussed prior to programming to be sure that it can be provided. 75% of programming to be paid upon delivery and balance to be paid when tested to work (to be done within 72 hours of delivery).
