We are looking for a person able to implement the following project:
Using as platform, a RASPBERRY PI, we need to program a webserver which will exchange XML data with a remote server over HTTPS and with a USB device connected to a tty port.
The architecture will be the following:
REMOTE WEB SERVER RASPBERRY PI TTY + DEVICE
This way as soon the RASPBERRY receives a message (XML format) over HTTPS, it has to carry out some actions on the DEVICE. Also, when it receives data from the device through TTY, the raspberry has to build an XML file and send it using GET/POST to the server. It is required to establish a protocol of verification to check that all messages sent to the device get an answer, otherwise take actions (re-send, etc...)
To sum up, the project scope will be the following:
Install a secure webserver (SSL) on the RASPBERRY.
Raspberry + Wireless adapter
Program the secure web configurator to set up the required parameters (TCP/IP, DHCP, SSL certificates, server parameters...) to establish the communications.
Program the *.c files required to use properly the device using the tty port.
Create a package with all the required SW components in order to allow the installation in a factory by non-experts
So the personal skills to develop this project are:
A person with experience using Raspberry PI
Experience with webserver configurations (PHP, MYSQL, Self signed SSL certificates)
Experience programming in C.
Ability to carry out this project in (maximum) one month.
Able to propose improvements and carry them out.
If you do not have previous experience with such developments please DO NOT BID!!! Also when bidding please provide PROOFS of your previous experience in projects like this.
