We need is to pull the information from RETS. RETS is the database of the realtors association, in this case of South Florida.
I pay an annually special fee to have access to it.
Actually, the real estate agents use one application call MLS (Multiple Listing System) that is a search engine that use the RETS database. (see youtube video to see the MLS http://youtu.be/NKVuYUxFCKg )
So, what we have to create is a search engine like the MLS but not that much complicated.
To access the RETS you have to use one of the applications (see RETS APPLICATIONS BELOW)
There are two ways to use RETS, one is to pull the information on the fly (so life time when a customer ask for a search) or download periodically the database to one server and use the data from there (lets say once at night or twice a day)
Basically, the idea is to place this engine in a web site (build it using wordpress).

May be you ask why do I want to make another search engine if we have already the MLS. Well there are many reasons. One we can narrow the search only to the areas we serve. Lets say Counties of “ Miami-Dade and Broward”
Another reason is because we want to use this same search engine giving some exact criteria to pull automatically information on properties available in an specific building. So we create a website exclusive for that building and people can see what is available and inclusive what was sold in the last year.
The third reason to create the search engine, is because we want to make automatic posting in some specialized web sites, of properties available in an specific area (logically with our agency name). In this case the RETS will show if its ok or not to advertise.
