The project here is pretty straight forward. On my clients site there is a large database of products in a OSCommerce eCommerce store. What ever the price is on any given product, I want it to end with ( $x.00) . eg. If the price shows $23.72 I want it to show $23.00. If it shows $57.33, I want it to show $57.00. In short, I want the cents section to just reflect .00 (no cents).
This is a fairly large database so I don't want bids to do each item one at a time. What I'm thinking can be done (but I'm not the SQL pro here so let me know if you have another idea) is to pull the SQL database from the cPanel, convert to an editable form like .csv or .xls so you can just do a one time mass change to reflect the new price(s). All the dollar amounts will be the same, I just want all the cents reset to .00 and then do a data dump back to the sql database.
If you can think of an easier way to do this that's fine. I would expect a very good back up of the "entire" database so nothing is lost or currupted in the process that can't be replaced if an accident occured.
Please put your ideas on how to do this in a PM to me and give me your best price to convert the entire database to me. Do a good job and I may award you other work. I own a Project Management company here in the USA and have many jobs going on several of which are open for bidding on now. Looking forward to awarding this project pretty fast so I'm only going to run this ad for less than a week, but probably will award it in a couple days. I need the work done now.
Be very accurate on the time frame it'll take you to finish the job.
Payment will be made using Freelancers broker service and will be paid in full once I see the entire project is completed successfully the way I've described here. No milestone payments or upfront payments will be given so please don't ask. Just look at my feedbacks and you'll see I always pay on time as promissed and I'll of course put the funds in escrow with freelancer so you'll see it ready to be paid out as soon as the job is complete.
