Project Description:
There are 3 types of racing in UK national hunt (jump racing) flat and all weather (sand) and all the data needs to be kept separate but will combine sometimes for certain results,
I basically am looking for flaws in the Horse Racing handicap where I think a horse will run better or worse than anyone else because of distance, going, weight, jockey, course etc., or I am looking for a horse that is a bigger price than it should be on the form on offer,e.g if a horse is 5-1 and my ratings say it is 2-1 chance then I would back it, if it is 5-1 and my ratings say it should be 10-1 then I would not back it.
The database probably web based and needs to be very robust, precise, updateable and user friendly so I would be able to add extra columns functions etc. with a bit of guidance and most importantly automatic maybe using crons to schedule and to be able amongst other things to
1……….scrape data from as many sites listed as possible with a backup option of using csv and copy and paste as I do now for racing post
2……….do all the calculations on the excel sheet January 9th which is attached plus more sites and more calculations
3……… sort functions and calculations from the data inputted
4……….back fit my ratings for the day to the actual result using % on columns ( Jan 9th file )to create ratings that would have been as near as possible to the outcome of the race
5……….save those settings then next time a race is run over the identical conditions it will use implement those settings to the ratings sheet, I believe to backfit the ratings it would have to be capable of doing 1,0000000000000 calculations quickly, if this is possible
6……..suggest back and lay bets which meet certain criteria to an excel sheet
7…….keep records of how different columns / data collections performed
8……..after analysis is able to highlight certain information
9…….produce an output/ summary of advice
10….. maybe – Make it more Web 2.0, add social bookmarks and other improvements

you might want to use back end server because it is more reliable, and it will probably have ini files for each scraper and it will run in loops
probably the analysis output will be html calculated on pure php without any frameworks to support and javascript from the mysql database,
Payments:
- No upfront milestone will be provided.
- Milestone on maximum 50% of the bid from the awarded candidate.
- The payment schedule will be:
1. 25% as soon as you complete the project and prove it to be fully functional.
2. Next 50% when you deliver the software/script to me, related data files, help me install it r and prove it to be fully functional.
3. Remaining 25% after 7 days when I have tested the software and finds it to be fully functional as per requirement and bug free.
