1)Simple Category User Interface How I would like the design to look like: Sign up at http://www.stumbleupon.com. Log in to your user account. On the lower right hand corner, click on “Manage My Interests??. **See enclosed file for snapshots. The default automatically selects the news category as shown on page 1. The main categories are News, Blogs, Websites, Shopping, People, and Video. The main categories will display a count of how many selections are under each option. For example, News(24) means that there are 24 sub categories underneath it. Each main category, when clicked on, will show up to 20 sub categories as shown on page 2. When user selects his choices, his selections are updated immediately and can be seen when he clicks on My Categories, as shown on page 3. Every category list should be in alphabetical order. The My Categories will also count how many categories the user has selected. +1 is added for each specific category, and + 1 is added for each general category with no specific categories underneath it selected. 2) Post an Item *I will provide you an HTML parser that will grab the title and description, and an array of images from any page. User types in a URL and presses Post, as shown on page 10. Once he clicks on Post, it’ll take him to the next page, you will make javascript/ajax functionality to resize an array of images into acceptable thumbnail sizes. The user can click on forward and back icon buttons to shuffle through the array of thumbnails generated or select “Don’t show any image??. The user can post comments in a text area. The user must pick a category from a dynamically generated DHTML/Javascript menu like one shown at this link: [url removed, login to view] The user can add tags separated by commas. Then the user can click on Post. See enclosed file for more information.
