Project Description:
We are a small NGO based in San Francisco that would like to experiment with a concept social network site. The developer would work in conjunction with our core team and be expected to: 1. Provide expertise on industry best practices with regard to Web 2.0 site development and tools such as Drupal, PHP, AJAX, MySQL etc 2. Work with our Tech Lead to propose a scalable architecture that will ease maintainability and upgrades. 3. Web developer should have the ability to translate requirements from wire frames to a functional website 4. The website should have an administrative interface where site owners can manage content as well as member account information. 5. Long-term basis to maintain this website and develop additional features. Must Have: * Good communication skills * Experience in designing and building web 2.0 community sites using Drupal. * A portfolio to sample work done Technical skills needed: Drupal, DHTML, XML, PHP5, Web Security, MySQL
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
The website should be created in Drupal, using existing Drupal modules and a little bit of custom integration with MySQL as a back-end database. It should run on Windows and Linux (bank-end), and in firefox and IE (front-end).
