We're redesigning our corporate web site, and I'm looking for skilled HTML coders who can turn our graphic design templates into clean, standards-compliant, cross-browser HTML. We will give you a complete page mock-up in .jpg format, as well as individual graphic assets for the HTML implementation. You will take those individual graphic assets and turn them into an HTML version of our mock-up. A successful bidder will have the following abilities: 1) Cross-browser testing on IE, Firefox, and Safari. 2) Familiarity with CSS techniques for two-column and three-column layouts. 3) Expertise in modern layout techniques using tags rather than tables. 4) Expertise implementing pleasant graphical elements in HTML, such as boxes with rounded corners. Because I will be maintaining the HTML code moving forward, I care deeply that the pages not only look good, but that the underlying code be clean and easy to read, with proper indentation, standards-compliance, etc. Selection of a vendor will depend more on your ability to provide examples of relevant work than on who makes the lowest bid.
I anticipate that we will ask you to implement three different template pages. As such the deliverables should consist of the following: 1 CSS page shared across template pages 3 HTML template pages that conform to our mock-ups To be accepted, the HTML will have to render correctly on the following browsers/platforms: IE 6/Windows IE 5/Windows Firefox 1.0/Windows Safari 2.0/Mac Safari 1.3/Mac I'm attaching two of our most recent mock-ups, so that you can get a feel for what we have in mind. Please note that these have not been finalized, but they are probably very close to what the final versions will look like.
