Project Description:
Objective is to examine a Microsoft access 2002 table named "Contacts" for all birthdays and cause a reminder form to open displaying the data in the table that meet the birthday criteria of x days prior to the current system clock date.

Using Visual Basic in Microsoft access 2002, create a recordset and loop through the recordset for dates appearing in a field named "birthday" in a table named "Contacts".

Compare the Month and Day parts of the dates that appear in the field "birthday" in a table named "Contacts" to the parsed Month and day part of the current system clock date.

If a date is x days prior to the current system clock date, then open an access form named "fmUpcomingBirthdays" and display on that form {Continuous records form} all the data in the table named "Contacts" for each birthday in a field named "birthday" that meet the criteria of X days prior to the system clock date.

Need the SQL select query that parses the Month and day part of the system clock date so that the data in the "birthday" field of table named "Contacts" which contains the full birthday as in "03/05/36" can be parsed and compared th the parsed system clock date.

Also need the SQL query to select the records to be displayed on the form named "fmUpcomingBirthdays".

MORE:
I'm developing a much larger Access 2002 Desktop application, within which the "Birthday" date reminder system is a small part.

I will distribute theAccess 2002 Desktop application as a stand alone Access database, that will run on PC machines without Microsoft Access installed.

I will create an .exe files using Microsoft Office developer addition tool.

I'll make available a second version which will run on PC machines that DO have Microsoft Access installed. That version will simply be an .mde Access file.

I will supply the necessary Access tables and Access forms needed for the project.

Further project clarification:
I'm developing a much larger Access 2002 Desktop application, within which the "Birthday" / "Anniversary" date reminder system is a small part.

When I complete larger Access 2002 Desktop application I want to distribute it as a stand alone Access database application that will run on PC machines that do not have Microsoft Access installed.

Therefore I will create an .exe files using Microsoft Office developer addition tool.

I'll make available a second version which will run on PC machines that DO have Microsoft Access installed. That version will simply be an .mde Access file.

I will supply the necessary Access tables and Access forms needed for the project.

Sorry that my first definition of project was not more clear. I welcome your questions.
