I need a simple proxy web service (1 page only) that can broker requests and responses between a public web server and an internal, intranet web server. The architecture: PUBLICSERVER - The public web server hosts one website, runs IIS, ASP.NET, Windows Server 2003, SSL. The webserver can see the other server for SQL queries and HTTP requests. INTRANETSERVER - The intranet server runs SQL Server 2005, IIS, Reporting Services 2005. It has a Webservice called http://INTRANETSERVER/ReportServer. This webservice is what I want to expose on the public server. I realise there are other ways of setting up reporting services, such as have RS on the public server but the network people are not keen on that idea. I need to be able to proxy any requests through the public server to the intranet server. This must work for drilldown reports as well. Please apply with description for how you would address the problem. Preference will be given to someone that can identify the technical issues with doing this project. There are a few I can think of already.
