I need a desktop application (C# or VB.NET or C++) that extracts store ratings data from multiple sites. The sites I am interested in are:
What I need is the following:
Rating on Site 1
Reviews on Site 1 (number of reviews)
Rating on Site 2
Reviews on Site 2
Rating on Site 3
Reviews on Site 3
Rating on Site 4
Reviews on Site 4
ABout the layout I am willing to come with alternates use PMB.
For the rating, i do not need 4.50/5.00, i just need 4.50. For Bizrate the ratings are in icons, so somehow through the name of the icon the app needs to display 1 poor, 4 for outstanding and so on. Yaho also needs something similar.
I need the application display the data on a grid control, with the ability to save in CSV (and/or XML but not required).
The application has to provide the ability to search by merchant name and just get the data for the matching merchants. Ideally i should be able to place multiple vendors separated by comas (OR relationship)
Some of these sites have all sorts of defeating mechanisms, so something like use of proxies would be a great feature.
I also might need to add new store reviews sites in the future, so it will be good if the architecture of the app is extensible and allow for such enhancment. (i will award such future projects to the original programmer) when you bid please post what you thing the cost per site would be.
