We want to use the 3CX and ConnectWise API's:
To allow the 3cx system to add an activity each time a call comes in from a certain person, so for instance if caller X from company X calls up and the call enters the 3cx system, an activity for that lines up with the the time of the call would be created in ConnectWise. It would look at the extension that answered the call and have a lookup table where it would assign the user that answered the call to the activity in ConnectWise. In the notes section it would show the call duration and the location of the saved audio file that was recorded in the call. this would all be done in the background of the system without any user intervention. When the user is calling the person that answers the call will be presented with the contact details of that person from within the ConnectWise console, if the phone number is not assigned to a user the company it is assigned to will pop up. If there that number is not assigned to anything in the system the new company screen will appear for the tech to enter the details of the client.
