I am wanting to Build a Facebook Application.
I am a teacher am trying something new in my class this semester. I am having my students us Facebook as a Forum. I have created an account that I use only for my school that I use for my class. With that account, I have created a private group that I will use for this course and will post in. Every week, I post a discussion question. Each student is to respond in an engagement of 250 words. Further, they are to respond to two of their colleagues posts in postings of 150 words each.
This is what I would like the Facebook Application to do:
1) I would like the Application to be connected to the group(s) that I assign it to on my account. I would like it to be assignable to more than one group as well (ie. Let's say I have 3 classes that I am teaching and I have a separate group for each of those classes. I would like the Application to run independently for each of those 3 groups).
2) In terms of teaching functionality, I would like the Application to be able to allow me to download/save all the responses as a PDF, putting each of my students postings together for easier grading (ie. Let's say I have a student that has posted sporadically throughout the forum to a specific question. When It allows me to save as a PDF, it will actually clump all of his responses together, in order from 1st post to last post, so that I can see how many posts he has made throughout the forum easily. This will make it easier to grade as I can see that they have sufficiently posted the necessary amount of times. After that student, the next student's postings will be seen in a grouping. I will be able to print of this document and use it for easy grading).
3) If possible it would be great to be able run the PDF, mentioned above in #2, off a specific question, instead of rendering the results for the entire forum (ie. Let's I'm 3 months into my semester, I don't want the PDF to pull all the posting information from the entire Semester on the forum. That is a lot of responses to wade through. I would like to be able to specify which forum question I would like to export as a PDF. This will allow easier access to the pertinent questions and responses from students).
I know this project is a fairly simple project and shouldn't take a lot of time to complete. If you would like some clarification, please let me know.
