Automated data extraction from a website that includes Flash

$100 - $300

Project Description:
We need a developer to write a program or script that will

(1) Go to a particular video website
(2) Iterate through all the videos of the website
(3) Collect information [show title, video title, category, image url (if applicable), video page url, video url, runtime, airdate, and any other available information] and put the information into a spreadsheet

We are planning to run this often to obtain new entries, so the program needs to de-duplicate previous entries so that we don't end up with multiple copies of the same row of data.

A portion of the website is in Flash, so the program needs to figure out how to collect data from a Flash site. We will need both the source code and the binary/executable. You can write the program in any language, though it will be a big plus if you can write it in Ruby.

Similar automation programs are required for dozens of websites, so this could turn into a big project for the right coder.

Skills required:
Adobe Flash, Data Processing, PHP
