Project Description:
Develop a software(php website? flash executable? exe installable program?) running on a PC (Windows OS) computer, with a super-simple interface, allowing a person to do the following....
STEP 1: select a design from 10 to 20 different nice-looking background templates (some sort of photo jpegs?). Mouse-over the desired graphics and should just click and select, or please suggest another easier/simpler idea. (Some examples of background templates: "inside a museum", "inside a hotel", "in the park", etc)
STEP 2: user can now stare at the camera (which is connected to the computer), and click a button to take a photo of himself/herself. The photo-taken should show up on the screen together with the previously selected template graphic/photo, for example, the person should now appear INSIDE THE MUSEUM, if the "inside a museam" template was selected. The user can now retake the photo or re-select another template, if not happy. If satisfied with the combined photo shown on the screen, the user will allow to move on to the next step (by clicking a on-screen button?).
STEP 3: a text-box should now appear on the screen, explaining with simple instructions, telling the user to enter a email address. The user can now enter a valid email address and click "SEND PHOTO". Once verified that it is valid email format, the program will send out an email with the attached photo (photo of the user, with the background template, in one JPEG) to the user. Show a process completed message on the screen, and a big click-able button to begin again (restart from STEP1).
The goal is to create a program so simple, that even a child can use, without any knowledge of email, photo editing, nor computer/technical skills.
You can use any programming language: visual basic, c++, c#, php, html, asp.net, asp, flash, etc..................as long as you can do all steps: step1, step2, step 3.
