This project is basically a client/server Texas Holdem (poker) game. 8 people (clients) should be able to connect to the a serving table and compete in hands of Texas Holdem. The clients should be able to chat with one another through the server as well. During a typical hand, a player (client) should be able to perform any poker action (check, call, raise, fold) as well as predetermined macros to cover common actions (call any bet, check/fold, bet pot, etc.). This program will be used in an online casino so records of each hand (winner, losers, pot size, bets placed, etc) should all be recorded in a secure database which eventually will be integrated into an automatic payment system. Clients will identify themselves with a username and password as well as their personal information (Name, address, phone, credit card account that is charged, etc). The channel between the client and server MUST be encrypted (via SSL or some other equivalent protocol) and must be secure from electronic eavesdropping and such. Each hand must also be COMPLETELY random as to ensure that everything is 100% random. The maximum bet, minimum bet, and blinds should be changeable with 5% rake going to the dealer (central server account). Other custom actions (tip the dealer, etc) are also needed. The client program also requires a graphical interface (similar to Hoyle and other electronic card games) as to make the user comfortable with his/her playing experience. The game must have sounds for shuffling and betting (which can be turned off by the user if desired). This is just a rough overview of what the project requires. Winning bidder is to correspond via phone/email for complete description of project.
