Project Description:
We have a fully functional program done in cobol by another programmer.
We would like to do either ONE of the following:
Option 1
Call and run the cobol program from Java
OR
Option 2
Amend the starting phase of the cobol program so that a splash screen can be displayed.
The objectives:
1. Make the application loo more user friendly by having splash screen
2. We have a separate PHP (web based application in which the information are stored in a MYSQL database. We would like to be able to syncronise the information on the cobol program with the data in the mysql database.
Current Environment:
We have the Cobol Program both in Windows and Linux Environment installed and tested that the program functions correctly.
Cobol Version:
RM Cobol.
Preference:
Programmers from South America, United States, and Europe with at least 10 years experience with cobol.
