We need 2 apps (one for the courier driver and one for the customer to download from the app store both working on iOS and Android. The 2 apps work with each other.)
1)The app for our courier drivers receives jobs from a customer booking a courier van via an app the customer has downloaded onto their mobile phone
2)customers must be able to book a courier van via the app they've downloaded- they should know exactly where the van is on the map before they book the courier van - hence them booking the van because they know it will arrive in e.g. 5 minutes due to its close proximity
The job is dispatched to the closest possible van automatically.
if a customer books a courier van for a later date, the job should be booked into the database and released to the driver approximately 15 minutes before the pickup date. We should be able to change the time from 15 minutes to anything else.
The important thing is that a customer should be able to see live data on a map where each one of our courier vans is and if they are free or busy.
e.g. a customer should be able to see that there is a courier van that will drop a parcel off near his house in 10 minutes.
e.g. a customer should be able to see that a courier van is already parked on his street so he can book it right now.
Customers and drivers -before downloading the app must accept Terms and Conditions which we will provide and they should also send us confirmation of certain personal details before they can send and recieve jobs. customers need to send us e.g Name, Address, mobile number, email etc and drivers need to send us e.g. driving license copies, names etc (we will let you know exactly what)
There should be an option for customers to pay by credit card/debit card/paypal/google pay and other popular payment methods
the customer must be able to leave feedback about the driver which will be stored on our online portal.
when the driver is outside the customers house a 'push notification' should be sent to the customers mobile phone notifying them that the vehicle is outside . included in the notification should be the vehicle make, model, registration, colour.
if the customer rang by a landline number then a missed call (lasting 2 seconds should occur).
