Project Description:
The REmymarket.com is a Google map mashup using real estate listings data. Initially, only Google Real Estate listings will be used however this will extend to other portals over time.
The site requires a web spider / data extraction to capture both TOTAL property listings and the ADDRESS of listings when the address is available. The address is not always provided, but where available, it will be used and plotted on the map.
The product will be used by real estate agents to monitor and compare performance of their business to others in the area. The web site will be FREE, allowing agents and consumers to access. This comparison will be based on criteria including total advertised property listings (by property type) for each real estate firm and by named real estate sales people.
Analysis will be done at a suburb (town) level. Two bar charts will be provided, one showing real-estate agents offices and the total current listings and the other showing real-estate sales persons and the total current listings.
