Project Description:

The project is the development of an online photo/image editor (preferably in java/PHP codings).
These application will allow users to edit their own photos.


Project specifications:
• Browse image (gif, jpg, bmp, png) – open from file (browse hard drive) and open from url
• Crop Image – select the required cropping shape to crop the selected image
• Changing order of object - Bring to front/send to back
• Copy and paste - image and caption
• Eraser - erase selected portion of the image or caption
• Pan tool
• Resize Image - with slide bars and scale
• Rotate – 360 degrees
• Image resolution indicator
• Flip – horizontal/vertical
• Brightness/Contrast – with slide bars
• Hue/Saturation – with slide bars
• Blur/Sharpen – with slide bars
• Opacity - with slide bars
• Remove red eye
• Undo – 1 step back or back to original
• Delete/Erase
• Several Effects : Sepia, Black/White, noise, texturizer, monotune, lens flare, drop shallow,
bevel and grow effect
• Add Texts to image (able to change font size, colour, font face)
• Add Cliparts to image
• Paint Brush to draw (if possible): change brush size, colour
• Other effects (please state)
• Download and Save Image (gif, jpg, bmp, png)– save to file (harddrive) or save online

Additional functions:
• User can select the dimension of artwork
• Page browser and nevigation
• Indicator to inform users on Low-resolution picture
• Admin can add as many categories of page background from the control panel
• Zipping all the edited files for fast download to hard drive

I need a large file uploader which will work on web browser to be integrated in this project so that the users can upload their image files from hard drive faster. I think java applet might be the right choice . The uploader script will upload very large file and vice versa for file downloader which will zipping all the edited image files for fast ddownload to hard drive. There are many similar script i.e. http://www.javaatwork.com/java-upload-applet/demo.html. Appreciate to have your good suggestions on this matter.
