We need to develop a method allowing multiple web site visitors to connect their webcam to our site such that all subscribers in a "room" can actually see all other subscribers in the room on their screens all at the same time. Picture, if you will, a 4 x 4 or 3 x 3 table with each cell in the table containing a separate video feed from another subscribers camers.
Advice on technical limitations appreciated (e.g. any more than x at a time will bog down even a DSL connection; cost may be outlandish for bandwidth use). We anticipate that most will be using cable connections, but some may be dialing in.
We may need to either use an autorefresh or a click-to-refresh to allow additional subscribers to join a room once an online chat is in session.
## Deliverables
Description of what you can do in this regard, whether or not it is technically possible and/or feasible.
We primarily need a plug in component to allow us to accept a video feed; our programmers should be able to take it from there with your plug-in and notes. If you think that we're falling short in our requirements, please advise and describe what you think is required.
Additional quotes and suggestions encouraged.
## Platform
System is targeted for a Windows 2000 platform running Cold Fusion, SQL Server, and related technologies. If Linux or other OS better, please advise.
Site visitors will be running standard browsers; if one is better than others for this, please advise.
