Project Description:
I want to create a financial database of all public companies listed on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange.
I want a program that will source the data from a reliable public database as and when required. For e.g. - see http://www.moneycontrol.com/financials/tcs/consolidated-balance-sheet/TCS - I need the relevant data for each line item and year in balance sheet, profit and loss, quarterly results, and cash flow statements for all public companies (see A-Z at bottom of site) for at least ten years in one database. It should also update for latest market price (see 'Quotes' and 'Market Cap').
I would like for this to be a software that will run on Windows, which can be updated for data at the click of a button. Most important factors are that it runs reliably (i.e. uses a backup source - such as Economic Times - 'http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tata-consultancy-services-ltd/balancesheet/companyid-8345.cms') and runs indefinitely without need for maintenance.
