* PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, ANY BIDS NOT COMPLETELY ADDRESSING THE POINTS BELOW WILL SIMPLY BE IGNORED * We are looking for a JavaScript User Interface guru with solid experience with AJAX to join the team at Freelancer.com. You will be working to make an interactive UI similar to the kind seen on many social websites. You will be able to write clean code that degrades gracefully when JS is unavailable or there are other client limitations. This is a extensive, full-blown UI we are looking at overhauling so please bid only if you are experienced to deliver such. This is not your typical boring programming job, this is an opportunity to get involved in an exciting project and have input into the design and see your work being used by millions of people. You will be energetic, self-motivated and able to work without constant direction. You will be trustworthy, have great communication skills (verbal and written) and have a genuine enthusiasm for the web and pride in the quality of your work. Key Duties - Creating a world-class JavaScript powered UI - Creating efficient, scalable code for use in high load environments - Create code that is adaptable to rapidly changing technical requirements Work Hours ---------- This is a casual position, some weeks we may need full-time on our project, some weeks there may be less work. We will work on a daily rate and you will need to be able to juggle other work around our project. This is potentially the first of many projects so we are looking for people who are interested in long-term casual work. Location & Work Environment --------------------------- This position is available to people anywhere in the world and it involves working remotely from your own office/home. You will need to supply your own equipment (computer, software) & utilities (including Internet access). All communication will be Internet-based (email / Skype), a standard phone line is not required. Please include a link to one or more JavaScript projects that you have developed. You may be asked to create a example script to prove your abilities.
