Project Description:
I am looking for someone with experience using Google Maps API code and geocoding service. I have recently setup a website where people can register and upload videos (just like youtube). All the videos are of campsite reviews or campervan tours etc etc. The site was created using site templates and plugins from phpMotion.
When the videos are uploaded users enter a postcode for where the videos were filmed.
I need someone to take the postcode data from the MySQL database, and get google to geocode it to create the Lat and Lng fields, then create the google map with the markers from the postcode. Ideally I'd like to have a choice of markers depending on the video subject (camper tour, campsite, place of interest, misc.). Also I'd like the map to show the whole of the UK when it is first loaded on the site, showing markers throughout.
Also when the markers are clipped I want a bubble to pop up with a title of the video and either a weblink or thumbnail of the video that can be clicked to go to that video.
Thirdly (But if its outside your skills please only bid for the above jobs) I would like to allow people to be able to search the website by town/postcode name, and get results in a list in order of distance as well as mve the map to that postcode.
I am based in UK and live in Staines just outside South West London, though am more than happy to work with anyone world wide.
