This project is for a document assembly application. A current open source document assembly application (J-Interview at http://jinterview.sourceforge.net/default.htm) should be customized to look like the demo application for exari at http://www.exari.com/document-assembly.html and XiDraft at https://www.xidraft.com/.
J-Interface is a document assembly java servlet application. For this project, we will be changing the web interface to function and flow similar to Exari and XiDraft(as shown above). Exari and XiDraft have full demo available and should be used for reference. J-Interface source is currently available from the jinterview site. The application can remain as a java servlet, or can be changed into a variety of web-based applications.
We would like the ability to upload a template document from the admin panel, and create fields/questionnaire for the front end for the customer to complete. The customer's answers will be injected into the template, and a completed document will then be available for download. The application should be in PHP. This project is complete when a web based interface is created similar to Exari and XiDraft, but uses some of the code in Jinterface to compile a resulting document. Both examples (haiku and pta) currently included in Jinterface shall work and generate an RTF/Docx/PDF document. However, the interface and features should duplicate Exari's and XiDraft interface. The resulting application In addition to customizing the interface, there should be some functionality (either through editing template files or some other user friendly method) to change the look-and-feel of the application. We would like to provide a preview of the template next to questionnaires, so customer can see his answers being populated into the template live, just like rocketlawyer.com/.
Only those with previous experience with automated document assembly are invited to bid. Please review Jinterview, Exari, XiDraft and rocketlawyer and tell us how you can accomplish it. Also provide examples of previous document assembly work. If you do a good job, we will retain you for our upcoming projects. The time frame for completion is 4 weeks. As standard you will commit to providing bug fixes, maintenance, and support for 6 months.

The application should read in DocX files as templates, generate interview/questionnaire and generate PDF/DocX/RTF files as a result.
During the interview and after an interview is completed, the user should be able to save their responses too.
