Important: you are going to need a valid Amazon Associate Tag for Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de as well as registration to Amazon Product Advertising API (for AWSAccessKeyId) to verify the proper operation of your script. Without the keys, we would have to verify the proper operation using our keys, which would make the development process significantly longer and more cumbersome.
This bid is for the relatively simple (if you have all the required skills and resources), turnkey project - script and template for obtaining any product’s current price from three Amazon websites (.com, .co.uk, .de). Operation is done using registered account via Amazon Product Advertising API. All the content created must run and be displayed properly on the Firefox, Chrome and IE browsers.
Important: Your code may be reviewed by the Amazon personnel to verify the compliance with the rules governing the use of the Amazon Product Advertising API. Please familiarize yourself with those guidelines and keep them in mind while creating the code:
This is NOT a code for dynamic website. You are creating a script for generating a CSS code (not website) based on the data your script is going to obtain from Amazon servers using Amazon API. You code will then be integrated into static websites.
It is up to you to decide what kind of environment you are going to work in. Final result should be a single webpage with a form displayed for data input - this form should run properly in Firefox. After entering all the required data, API should be used to obtain the information from Amazon servers. This data should then be saved locally, and CSS code for multiple tables should be generated based on the data.
Please see the MS Word file attached for all the specifications.
Feel free to contact us, should you have any additional questions.
Important: if you decide to bid, please write a short summary of your work - what you are planning to do and which environment you are going to work in. This will be taken into consideration when selecting the best bid. PHP script is preferred, but not mandatory - Amazon API has extensive documentation and you may check what methods are acceptable to query their servers using API. This is not a complicated project - use the simplest available solutions.
There is no need to implement exceptions' handling - the script only has to work if all the data are properly entered. If user makes a mistake, do not point to specific error - this is not necessary, as it's a limited project aimed for specific task by specific individuals and will not be used by random people.
