Project Description:
Hi my name is Adam Thomas Shaw and I have an idea for a search engine or to already improve on an idea for a search engine which already exists.
Before you continue you must have experience with YouTubes API as you will be programming a search engine that will use their API to mine data such as youtube embeds, search results, duration, descirption, rating etc.
The idea is to create a better search engine for YouTube. I basically want the functionality of it to be an embed video when you search.
For example if you search for cats on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cats&oq=cats
You get a whole results for cats.
My idea is to have each result an embedded video the user is able to play right away. (Saving time click on a result to play a video)
Also a grid view on embedded videos would be good and the ability to switch between a list and grid view would be perfect.
The domain I have for the project is: vizbu.com which will be the name of the search engine. I need someone to be able to program the search engine.
It will be an ongoing project as I will like to add features to it over time and the ability to search multiple video hosting sites like Daily Motion, Vimeo etc.
I've put the budget as very small project $250-750 for a starting price but you have the potential to earn more for working on it. The more progress I see the happier I am to pay for it.
You will need CSS, PHP, HTML, AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, Youtube API experience for this project.
