I manage my website with Concrete5 and I would like to implement an additional navigation on my hompepage. This navigation consists of a form (already built) which would display results on the hompage itself (right below the form) through a jquery UI (tabs).
The form consists of 2 drop-down menus which would display:
1st tab: specific RSS block,
2nd tab: specific html block,
3rd: html block or page (no header and footer)
I need some development for the hompage of my website. Basically, I would like to implement a quick navigation menu. I have attached an example in which you can see how it would look, but first of all please let me introduce you a couple of details about this new feature.
The form consists of 2 very easy drop-down menus:
1.Choose your field: Libraries, Information Management, Archives, Document Management, Records Management and Data Management.
2.Choose your country: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, etc.
This form displays the information in a jquery ui tab. Depending on the selection of the form it should show the following:
1st tab: specific RSS block. Here you are an example of the page that contains the rss block (selection: Libraries+Belgium). Please note that blocks are stored in the Mysql database. (no header and footer)
2nd tab: specific html block. Here you are an example of the page that contains the selection. This block shows a job mapping of the entire list of countries. Therefore, country does not apply for the selection, but the field such as libraries or information management. (no header and footer)
3rd: html block or page (no header and footer). This tab will always show the body of this page: http://www.jobsforlibrarians.com/jobs/extra-job-vacancies/
I have been already trying to implement it but I do not have time to do it by myself in these days. Please note a couple of tips to implement it, I thought about two alternatives:
1.Use a php script to display the page by using the URL which I set up in a hierarchical way: http://www.jobsforlibrarians.com/jobs/libraries/belgium/. So first field (page showing map) and second country. This would need to specify in the code not to display header or footer, only body (please see the attached file for the example)
2. Calling the specific block with php on the mysql, so as RSS block for the job listing (1st tab) and the html block for the map (2nd tab) and the html block for the table with jobs (3rd tab)
Please note that I would prefer each tab to display the entire body of the page which means everything on the page, but header, footer and breadcrumbs.
Thanks again and do not hesitate it to contact me for further details.
