Project Description:
I want a very simple social networking site built in pure php (without the use of frameworks like cakephp and the code should be clean and well formatted as i will be developing it further) and MySQL for database with following requirements:
login/registration pages (with password recovery and the passwords must be encrypted and then stored into the database and the username should be an email id)
Profile pic upload (crop feature to get a small square image of the uploaded image).
File upload feature to upload pdf and word docs (with ability to delete the uploaded file by the user).
url rewrite (so the profile url looks like www.domainname.com/profilename, option for users to select a unique profile name)
the profile pages will be publically available (no need to create a walled environment)
option for the user to delete his whole profile including all the stuff he uploaded like profile pic or any files.
the profile page will display some basic info about the user like profile pic, name, age, about me, link to files uploaded by him, etc.
ability to edit any profile info like name, about me, profile pic, etc. by the user.
basic field validations through javascript.
Thats all i want.
Features that i don’t need (i will be implementing them myself) :
no need for friend connections (adding friends and stuff).
no need to design anything like logos, themes, etc (just a simple layout will work)
no need for any photo albums (just the profile pic)
