Project Description:
This is a project to develop an interactive social media type website for an online community focused on consumer oriented issues of a financial and legal nature. It combines both an out of the box social network with later introduction of products and services to individual members of the community that develops. The components need to be smoothly integrated and presented in an aesthetically polished appearance.

Technical skills

The developer should an expert in Joomla. Please provide a link to your portfolio site, and include your technical expertise with Joomla, developing out of the box social networks and integrating applications.

We expect to use a template with some modifications that will integrate with the social network and community building aspects of the site. We have one particular template in mind, but we are flexible here as long as it meets our aesthetic goals.

We have been exploring Community Builder/Group Jive/Kunena (CB/GJ/K) as an approach to integrating the social network and membership services functions into the site. We are concerned with robustness (i.e., ability change functions quickly and ability integrate with other software later), site speed (ability to load on computers and mobile devices), design, difficulty of upgrading later (e.g., creation of a mobile version of the site) and privacy (control of privacy functions). While lacking in design integration and presenting uncertainty about speed, CB/GJ/K seems to meet several of the other requirements. We are open to other applications/software that you may suggest other than integrating CB/GJ/K into the site that will meet our goals.
